Most of us have probably experienced this, when returning to our parked car, only to find new damage and no one around.
This would normally require a replacement bumper, painting to colour, removal and refitting bumper to the vehicle and transferring all the hardware (lights and trim). Whats the alternative? We remove and refit the light, carry out a local spot repair on the damaged area only, then paint and blend to create a seamless finish.
This is an example of a poor repair by the previous owner where the panel was not prepared properly prior to painting and subsequently the paint had nothing to adhere to. Now with the impact you see he has peeling paint and "no strength" to resist this light abrasion.
HIT AND RUN
The number of "hit and run" incidents has increased dramatically over the years as it is too easy to look around to see if there are witness's and then drive off leaving you with a bill to pay. Rather than put in an insurance claim we can repair the damaged area only (as opposed to repairing the whole panel) often for less money than the insurance deductible.
